The hotels name is related to the 360 million year-old rockface "Bohlen", that rises up behind it. It's a natural monument with many interesting geological structures.

Between the Bohlen and the river Saale lies our hotel in the city borders of Saalfeld, so it's close to the historical town-center and the Saale cycle,- and hiking way.

We offer our guests 35 beds in rooms, appartements and one holiday flat.
If you are visiting us for special occasions we reccomend you to take one of our theme roome "Crete" or "Romantic".

Silence, relaxation and wellness you can find in our small but comfy sauna.

The restaurant offers space for about 100 people, so it's perfectly made for celebrations.
Our cooks can condoct you regional just as foreign meals from breakfast to dinner.

For our smaller guests there is an adventure playground situated right next to the hotel.
